September 12-18 was National Health Care Environmental and Housekeeping Week. To show appreciation, the Triboro Center, the Teller Avenue Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, hosted a hot breakfast for its housekeeping department on Sept. 17.

Staff are the unsung hero of the COVID-19 pandemic, workers handling everything from laundry and bedding to cleaning and sanitizing. They were the other half of the staffing staff who are also on the front lines of keeping everyone safe.
“When we think of heroes during the pandemic, nurses and doctors come to mind because they are clinical, but the hard work of our housekeeping staff cannot be overlooked or underestimated,” said Nate Goldman, Administrator from the Triboro Center. “They’ve done a wonderful job over the past 16 months and they’ve never let their guard down. We are so lucky.
