The City of Ocala is seeking quotes for an experienced vendor to provide janitorial services for various buildings and facilities located throughout the city.

RFP is currently posted through the City of Ocala Procurement and Contracts Office and closes Wednesday, March 9 at 2 p.m.

Depending on the scope of work described in the application, the project includes maintenance of floors, removal of rubbish, cleaning and emptying of ashtrays, cleaning of water fountains, vacuuming of carpets, general cleaning stains, disinfection and cleaning of various rooms (kitchens, living rooms, break rooms, toilets, reception areas, auditoriums, etc.), cleaning of stairs, cleaning of interior windows and mirrors and dusting (ceiling fans, blinds and window sills).

Normal working hours for this project are 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and/or 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The supplier must provide 48 hours notice to the city’s project manager for any work performed outside of normal shift hours, and the city may deny the request.

The supplier would be responsible for providing all management, tools, equipment, supplies and labor necessary to ensure the janitorial services are performed satisfactorily.

The City of Ocala will provide access to City buildings and facilities, designated storage areas, if any, and drawings, specifications, schedules, reports, and other information prepared by/for the City that are relevant to supplier responsibilities.
